This is 2nd lecture of the story The Araby. The Araby describes a conflict between the objective world and the feelings of the protagonists. And it ends up with a passionate resolution of the defeat of the central character at the hands of the world. “Gazing up into the darkness I saw myself as a creature driven and derided by vanity; and my eyes burned with anguish and anger”. This in the anguish and anger of the disillusionment. The feeling of love foe his adolescent age made him mad, as he did not think either he should go to the bazaar to so late at night or not. But because he listened such words first time from his girlfriend, this was the intensity of his passion feelings made hi to decide to go to the bazaar at any cost, regardless what consequences come to him at that time.
The protagonist’s main role in the story is to turn after the shadows. the story combines in itself a world of reality and irreality. Conclusively , it is the legitimate power of the feeling which creates a reality significant enough to give meaning to the irreality. it depicts a psychological rightness which is convincing to the protagonist as well as to the reader.
